Stuttering

Age:  18-80

Overview: If you are currently experiencing symptoms of stuttering, you may qualify for a research study evaluating the safety and effectiveness of a new investigational drug for the treatment of stuttering.  If you’ve currently experienced symptoms of stuttering on a frequent basis, you may be eligible to participate in this study

• sound and syllable repetitions,
• sound prolongations,
• interjections,
• broken words (e.g., pauses in speech),
• circumlocution (word substitutions to avoid problematic words),
• words produced with an excessof physical tension and/or
• monosyllabic whole-word repetitions.

Eligible participants will be asked to attend regular office visits over 8 weeks and receive study medication and study-related medical evaluations at no cost. No health insurance is required. An Open-label extension for participants that complete the initial 8 weeks will also be available for those peope that continue to qualify.
